There are hundreds of Kodi App out there. Discovering and installing them can sometimes be a bit of a hassle. Not so if you have the Indigo addon from TVAddons. The Indigo (Fusion) installer disappeared for several weeks following the disappearance of TVAddons but is back in action.

This Kodi program connects you directly to the TVAddons super repository, taking a lot of steps out of the addon installation process. Here’s how to install Indigo on Kodi, and how to make the most of this interesting Kodi maintenance and addon installation program.

Benefits to Using Indigo

As mentioned earlier, the Indigo makes adding Kodi App far easier. The normal process for adding Kodi App (the “old school” way) follows the same process as we just used to install Indigo. As you’ll note, this process is not entirely difficult, but it can take a long time.

With Indigo, you can install Kodi App quickly using the “Addon Installer”:

As you’ll note, there are various ways to install App using the Indigo installer. The “Feature App” section includes various popular App, including those developed by TVAddons. Video, Audio, and Program App can easily be located through their respective folders. The Kodi Skins section is useful for those looking to personalize their Kodi with a different theme.

Interestingly, you can install App directly through the Indigo installer if you have the addon zip file link. For example. if you obtain the direct link through a place such as Github, you can copy and paste it into the Indigo installer, which will install the addon faster, without you having to look through your harddrive for it.

You can use the Indigo tool for a variety of other purposes as well. Using Indigo, you can reconfigure your Kodi settings, provide basic maintenance, such as deleting files and clearing cache, view your error logs, check your network speed, perform a factory restore on Kodi, and before some basic data backups and restorations for your Kodi App.

You can also view a listing of upcoming sports games across different sports. Indigo also includes which channels show those streams, so you can locate them using other Kodi App or your subscription services.

Indigo is a one-size-fits-all tool that is designed to help maximize your Kodi experience. While you will not find some of the most popular grey-area App (such as SportsDevil) here any longer, you can use this addon for a large number of useful purposes.

You have but that did not work for me. I had to use

But otherwise your steps/screenshots were more helpful than the indigo page. Thank you.

Thanks for the comment and the heads up! We fixed the link for future visitors. Glad you found it helpful!

Indigo would not install. I started at install from zip because I had previously added the fusion repo but when I clicked the plugin.program.indigo file nothing happened.
    Can I add fusion again?

    • Sam Cook

You can try adding Fusion again. It might auto-upload to Indigo, it might not. Fusion might still work, but at some point it’s likely going to get dropped.

    • Raj

In my case, under file manager I am seeing begin here, lodi-repos and kodi-scripts. But when I clicked on begin-here its showing big updates coming in next few days 🙁 . not sure why it used work fine. I just rebooted my kodi and start facing this issue. Any help??

Note: My kodi version is 14.2.

      • Sam Cook

Hi Raj, you’ll definitely need to update to at least 16.

        • Raj

Yes I have downloaded 16 and still i am not seeing indigo/add on installer under begin here folder. But at list I can able to access exodus now.

There is one more issue I couldn’t able to add aftershock even though I am seeing that on repository but when I clicked on that nothing shows up. Doest it mean they removed that add on???

          • Sam Cook

            Hi Raj,

Last I remember, Aftershock wasn’t working. At least, from my own testing I haven’t been able to get it working the last few times I’ve tried it. I think Fusion/Indigo is still down (TVAddons servers went down last week), so that might be why you’re having issues there.

      • Sam Cook

Fusion has also been down in the past week following the recent Dish Network lawsuit that affected Phoenix and ZemTV

    • Sam Cook

Fusion is currently having some issues. I would suggest trying out SuperRepo for now, or installing your App directly from their zip files or developer repos. If there’s a specific addon you’re looking for, check through our site as there’s a good chance we’ve covered the install.

Who in their right mind is going to trust tvaddons after what happened?

    • Sam Cook

There’s certainly good reason not to. I wouldn’t use any of their services without anonymizing my connection first for now.
