How to install Ultra TT

Follow these 3 steps listed below to install Ultra TT.

Step #1: Tell Kodi where the Top Tutorials Wizard is

Once you’ve got the TT installation wizard, installing this build is a cakewalk.  Navigate to system → file manager add source to begin.  Once you’re at the add source screen, click where it says <none> and then type in the following URL: https://toptutorials.co.uk/kodi/builds/.  Then, name your file source “TT Wizard” and proceed to step 2.

Step #2: Install the Top Tutorials Wizard

Now that you’ve got a source set up, all you have to do is back out to the Kodi’s main menu and then navigate to system → settings → App → install from zip file → TT Wizard.

The zip file that contains the TT Wizard files is plugin.video.ttwizard.zip.  If you click the zip from within Kodi’s addon menu, Kodi will install it for you automatically.

Once the installation is complete, a popup will appear in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Step #3: Install Ultra TT

Once you run the TT Wizard, just choose “Ultra TT latest version” from the menu.  The wizard will do the rest of the work for you.  After the build installation is complete, Kodi will automatically reboot into Ultra TT.

Ultra TT Pros and Cons

My favorite thing about Ultra TT is its curated selection of App.  You won’t find any crappy, broken or out-of-date App that don’t work at all on this build.

Ultra TT takes up about 250 megabytes of space, which makes it a lightweight/mediumweight build.  It has only 37 App, but they are all very good quality ones.

I like the way that the menu gives you access to specific App while also providing shortcuts that allow you to quickly accomplish specific tasks.  However, some parts of the menu system have more to offer than others.  In particular, the kids menu and the music menu seem a bit underdeveloped.

Pros

  • A menu that’s powerful, yet easy to use.  Ultra TT’s menu streamlines the Kodi user interface without dumbing it down.
  • No broken App.  Though you may find a few dead links here and there, all of the App contained in this build work pretty well in general.
  • Comes with a realistic looking TV guide.  Ultra TT’s featured TV addon TDBV Guide isn’t perfect by any means, but at least it lets you see what’s on TV.
  • Extra fast performance.  Ultra TT is lean and fast.  If you add App later that slow it down, you can quickly clear the cache or delete your thumbnails via the App menu.
  • Snazzy looking skin.  Ultra TT’s celestial background and red color scheme give it a unique look.

Cons

  • The music and kids section seem a bit neglected compared to the rest of the main menu.
  • TDB TV Guide seems promising, which is probably why the Top Tutorials team decided to add it to this build.  However, the current version is buggy and slow.

Skin/Interface

The first thing I noticed about the Ultra TT menu is that it actually looks a lot like the Nemesis menu system.  Like Nemesis, there are several big buttons with smaller suboptions underneath.

The main difference between the Nemesis and Ultra TT menu system is that Ultra TT has a lot more menu choices.  Also, the individual App appear above the main menu instead of beneath it.

The large and small menu buttons make it easy for Kodi novices to get around and do basic stuff.  And if you’re a Kodi pro, you can easily get to your favorite Kodi App directly without having to dig through lots of different submenus.

With Ultra TT, App are organized into 9 main menu screens:

  1. Movies
  2. TV shows
  3. Sport PPV
  4. TV Guide
  5. Music
  6. Kids
  7. Library
  8. Addons
  9. System

Overall, I liked Ultra TT’s menu system better than Nemesis’s because Ultra TT has buttons that allow you to quickly get to App and advanced system settings.  I also like how Ultra TT displays addon icons in the top space instead of movie and TV promo art.

Here’s what Ultra TT’s skin looks like:

Top Tutorials says that Ultra TT is one of the fastest Kodi builds out there.  Ultra TT certainly is one of the fastest builds I have tried out.  I didn’t notice any user interface issues or lagging problems while clicking around the main menu system on my MacBook Pro.

System

The system menu doesn’t contain any big surprises.  In fact, it’s very similar to the standard Kodi system menu.  On the submenu, you’ll find 8 buttons:

  1. Settings
  2. File manager
  3. Profiles
  4. System info
  5. Skin Settings
  6. Addon browser
  7. Events
  8. Update build

I’m glad that the makers of this build didn’t try to hide Kodi’s technical menus.  They are there if you need them, but they don’t distract or get in the way.

Movies

The movies section has a nice selection of movie App and some interesting submenus that allow you to immediately jump to lists of 4k movies or find movies that are currently playing in the cinema.

Ultra TT’s movie App:

  1. Exodus
  2. MovieFlix
  3. GenVideos
  4. SALTS
  5. iSTREAM
  6. Movie Vault
  7. Spectro

Ultra TT’s unique layout strategy really shines on the movies menu page.  If you’re not familiar with what the App can do, the submenus help you find what you’re looking for.

TV Shows

Ultra TT’s TV show section relies on the same App it uses to help you find movies.  The convenient submenu allows you to quickly jump to popular shows and new episodes.

PPV Sports

I like the collection of sports App that Ultra TT brings to the table.  The sports App listed below are some of the most reliable ones that you’ll find.

NFL Game Pass is a good addon, but you’ll have to pay for a subscription and enter your login credentials to use it.  Castaway and SportsDevil both have decent menu systems and lots of links to streams that work most of the time.

Ultra TT’s Sports App:

  1. Cosmix
  2. SportsDevil
  3. Suicide Sports
  4. NFL Game Pass
  5. DC Sports
  6. Castaway
  7. UFC’s Finest

The submenu system under Sports PPV is geared towards helping you find menus that contain PPV content.  You can use them to quickly find live events and sports TV channels.

TV Guide

Unlike Nemesis’s broken TV Guide menu, Ultra TT’s TV Guide section of contains an actual working digital TV guide.  A click of the big TV Guide button pulls up an addon called TBD TV.

TDB TV Guide works, but it is quite buggy and somewhat irritating to use.   However, it does help you find out what’s on TV.

When you find a show and click it, TDB TV Guide opens a TV addon and tries to load the feed.  Sometimes the feeds work and sometimes they don’t, as is the case with all Kodi TV App.

screen-shot-2016-09-29-at-2-58-06-pm

Ultra TT’s TV App include:

  1. Suicide TV
  2. CCLOUD TV
  3. UK Channels
  4. Israel Live
  5. Adryan List
  6. Dexter Free
  7. TDB TV Guide

The submenus under the big TV Guide button point you directly to popular menus within Ultra TT’s App.  For example, “USA Channels” jumps you to Suicide TV’s list of American TV feeds.

Music

The music menu is basic.  The best music addon of the bunch is probably YouTube.  If you’re in the mood for something different, you can listen to local or international radio stations using CCLOUD TV’s music menu.

Ultra TT’s music App include:

  1. Jango
  2. MP3 Streams
  3. Music Channels (CCLOUD TV)
  4. YouTube
  5. Vevo
  6. Suicide Music
  7. MetalliQ

Kids

Out of all of Ultra TT’s menus, the kids menu is the thinnest both in terms of content and menu options.  Unlike the other menus, the kids menu doesn’t have any submenu buttons.  Instead, there are a handful of icons that kids can use to get to various kid-friendly menus on Titan.

screen-shot-2016-09-29-at-3-42-40-pm

I was slightly disappointed that the kids section doesn’t contain links to family content on Exodus 0r one of the other movie App that come with Ultra TT.  Cartoons8 is probably the most well-organized, consistent performer out of all the App listed on this menu screen.

Library and App

The library menu allows you to quickly find and play content that’s stored on your hard drive.  There’s nothing incredibly unique about this section, but it’s nice that it’s there.

I really liked the App menu because it allows you to quickly see all the App that you have on your Kodi.  Via the submenu, you can sort your App by type (Video App, Program App, etc.)  You can also quickly boost system performance by clearing the cache, purging packages or by deleting thumbnails.

In Conclusion…

If you’re looking for a fast, fine-tuned version of Kodi with up-to-date App that actually work, this build is about as good as it gets.  Ultra TT is slim, quick and attractive.  It doesn’t have a ton of App, but the ones that it does have work pretty well.  With the exception of the music and kids sections, its menu is intuitive and robust.
